Academics

Athletics

The Bentley athletics program seeks to assist student-athletes in growing physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Bentley student-athletes grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. This is accomplished through the challenge of athletic discipline, team participation, and interscholastic competition. Our mission is both educational and recreational, designed to enrich and complement the Bentley academic experience. Whether it is in practice or games, athletics provides all students with an active opportunity for personal achievement and the development of values.

Character, Purpose, & Community

The Bentley pillars of character, purpose, and community are woven throughout all aspects of our athletic program. Bentley student-athletes commit to their academic enrichment, to character, to self, and to their team and peers. Student-athletes are committed to being honest, positive, productive, inclusive, and understanding. They are individuals who are present, accountable, and respectful of how their actions affect others.

Bentley believes physical fitness should be a life-long practice. Physical education classes extend from Kindergarten to a full range of Life Fitness classes in the upper grades. In addition to interscholastic sports, we offer a full range of Life Fitness classes at the Upper School. Classes include yoga, fencing, dance, rugby, weight training, sport-specific pre-season conditioning, and cardiovascular conditioning.
