Theatre Arts

Middle School theatre students will have the opportunity to learn singing, dance and acting that culminates in a one-act or full-length musical performance at the end of the trimester. Class auditions are held at the beginning of the term to determine which roles the students will play in the upcoming production. Through a rigorous rehearsal process during class (including some after school sessions), students will improve their creative and collaborative skills in musical theatre performance. Special emphasis is also given to the history and forms of the Musical Theatre. Students may also choose to participate solely in technical/backstage work on the musical theatre performance.
