Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at Bentley is a K-12 comprehensive experience focusing on the development of students’ technical abilities as well as skills in creative problem-solving. The faculty offers a curriculum which places art within an historical context and explores the use of a variety of media including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and photography.

In the Upper School, our dedicated art studios include specialized equipment with a digital media lab, photography darkroom, ceramic studio along with studios for drawing or painting. While honing the skills of visual communication and artistic expression, students also develop abilities in critical thought, contextual realization, self-reflection, and time management. The Visual Arts curriculum is designed for students to continually build a strong portfolio of work suitable for college entrance requirements.
