Speech and Debate Recognition
During the 8th grade visit to the Upper School, a small awards ceremony was held to honor the Middle School and 9th-grade students for their success over the past two years.
Speech and Debate pivoted to online competition during the pandemic thanks to the support of the National Speech and Debate Association and passionate debate alumni who built an inexpensive online platform for the activity to continue. What started as a Middle School elective class with Ms. Fradelis five years ago has developed into a robust program that prepares Bentley students for success in Upper School. The Middle School debaters conclude their experience at a tournament this weekend, and the Upper School debaters continue their preparation for the upcoming State Qualifier.
