Joanne Ludwig: IVA + Ceramics + AP 3D Studio
Multi-medium abstract representational artist Joanne Ludwig is passionate about learning how we can use Art for Social Change and how the creative process can be a lifelong tool for self-healing. Her breadth of experience includes curator, gallery manager, mindfulness coach, community organizer, and art instructor. Her most recent role was as the Making Art and Design Instructor at Lighthouse Community of Schools preparing students for real-life careers by developing studio practices and design mindsets. In the classroom, she encourages community building, curiosity, agency, equity, and joy.
Aram Muksian: IVA + Photography + AP 2D Studio
Born in Providence, RI, Aram Muksian moved to California after graduating from St. Lawerence University, where studied fine arts and education and received a teaching credential. While Aram holds an MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, he also pursues creative interests in ceramics, drawing and painting, as well as piano. As an avid boater, Aram has spent over a decade photographing people living “off-the-grid” along the Bay Area and California Delta's vast waterways.
Kelsey Jones: Drawing & Painting + AP Art History
For the past 12 years, Kelsey Jones has been teaching studio art to almost every age from kindergarten to high school, where the expressive process of imagining otherwise for the bettering of the world is at the forefront of her philosophy. She fell in love with art in various traveling experiences in and out of college while studying Art History and Museum Studies in undergraduate at ASU. Later, Kelsey earned a Master of Art and Design Education from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is also a practicing printmaker, currently exploring the ways in which women experience and connect to landscapes.
GG Grilli: Theater
From Narragansett, RI, GG Grilli has taught theatre, including the practices of acting, directing, writing, movement, Shakespeare, and ensemble theatre at high schools, colleges, and training programs across the country as well as in Europe. He's an accomplished artist, with over three decades of experience as a professional actor, director, producer, filmmaker, and writer, including ten years of running his own company in the Bay Area and NYC, BrickaBrack.
Clark Brown: Music
Mr. Brown has greatly enjoyed the progress the Bentley students have made so far and thought all the ensembles had a great showing at Phoenix Fest. He is looking forward to the Winter Concert and how much growth can happen between now and December. He has also officially relocated to the 510 so please feel free to suggest your favorite restaurant or hike!
Paul McWilliams: Chamber and Choir
Originally from Scotland, Paul graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He relocated to the Bay Area in October 2000, and prior to Bentley was Music Director at Carondelet and De La Salle high schools and the University of San Francisco. In his 35th year of teaching, Paul continues to enjoy working with the choir and chamber students, enjoying their performances as much as their parents.
