Mandarin Students Visited Chinatown and the Asian Art Museum
On Monday, 9th and 11th grade Mandarin students had a truly authentic experience while visiting Chinatown and the Asian Art Museum. Additionally, they dined at a Chinese restaurant, which allowed them to practice their Mandarin by ordering lunch in the language.
The highlight of the day was the Asian Art Museum's special exhibition, "Phoenix Kingdoms: The Last Splendor of China’s Bronze Age." This excursion provided a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with Chinese culture and history firsthand.
The walk around Chinatown provided students with an opportunity to explore historical landmarks, traditional architecture, cultural symbols, and stories of resilience and community building.
