7th Graders Debate the Printing Press

Last week, the 7th graders engaged in a debate on the historical impact of the printing press.

Through the lens of this groundbreaking invention, students learned about the Protestant Reformation and the Age of Discovery. They used primary and secondary sources to explore the historical impact of Martin Luther, Amerigo Vespucci, and other well-known figures. During the debate, students collaborated within their teams to create persuasive arguments based on historical evidence. The debate also created an opportunity for students to further develop essential public speaking skills.
