Upper School Black Student Union Visits Hiller

During PACT and Town Hall Assemblies today, the Black Student Union (BSU) spoke to Lower and Middle School students about their organization, mission, and work. Students prepared for the visit by discussing guiding questions with teachers and advisors including: What does the BSU and Vanguard do and why are they important? Who is an African American hero or shero that you admire and why? Upper School students were incredibly well-spoken and naturally related to their younger peers. Thank you to Mr. Willie Adams for his help in organizing. The assembly helps Hiller prepare for academic and creative work in honor of Black History Month. Look for ongoing work and resources on display in the Hiller Library through the rest of February, and throughout the school year.
