Fifth Grade Fun With Math

During the first day of school, our incredible fifth graders embarked on a math adventure courtesy of YouCubed at Stanford University.

They're diving headfirst into the "Four 4s challenge," where they're using the number 4 four times to create numbers like 11, 13, and 19. It's a bit of brain-bending fun that's teaching them valuable lessons along the way.

In addition to their math escapades, fifth grade explored the power of their own minds and the importance of maintaining a growth mindset, especially in math. Our esteemed fifth grade teachers, Mr. von Euw and Ms. Visser are champions of the belief that every student has the potential to shine in mathematics.

These early experiences are just the beginning of an exciting and empowering mathematical journey for our fifth-graders. Stay tuned for more updates as they continue to thrive!
