Around the World with Six Teachers

Bentley School has some pretty worldly language teachers. Let’s get to know them!

Ms. Tseng is our dedicated Mandarin teacher. She takes immense pleasure in guiding her students on their language journey and enthusiastically shares the diverse cultures of China. Her passion for teaching and love for cultural exchange create a unique and enriching learning experience in her Mandarin 2, 3, 4(H), AP Chinese, and Advanced classes.

Magistra Argentea est magistra et linguae Latinae et linguae Americanae. cum scholā primā opus tessellatum, cum scholā secundā theatrum, cum scholā tertiā litteras reales, cum scholā grande Vergilium sperat! (Ms. Sterling teaches both Latin and English. She is looking forward to creating mosaics with Latin 1, doing theater with Latin 2, building skills with Latin 3, and learning all about Vergil with Latin AP!)

Madame BC a French native born in Burgundy, and she LOVES the French language and its diverse francophone culture present on four continents. She is lucky to teach across all six levels. She is looking forward to sharing her love of learning through her adaptive teaching.

Profe Guillén has taught for 30 years in California, 19 at Bentley. She grew up in Guadalajara, México. She is passionate about teaching the Spanish language, culture, native customs, and traditional foods. She has taken students to Latin American countries including Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, and Spain. This year, she teaches level 2, 4 Honors, and Seminar. She is looking forward to the positive progress of her students this school year. 

Profe Kegg has dedicated the last two decades to understanding the Spanish language and Hispanic culture and civilization – living, working, studying, and teaching in the US and many other countries. This year he is teaching Spanish 3, 4H, and AP. He is looking forward to sharing his love of language and culture with his students. 

Profe. Meehan is a committed educator with a deep passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. She has a decade of experience in the classroom and brings her lived experience from Argentina and Spain. This year, Profe. Meehan is nurturing a strong foundation in Spanish 1, and guiding Spanish 4 through Hispanic culture and film. Her enthusiasm for teaching promises an engaging and enriching experience for all her students.
